Mrs. Sharon Stuckey

Welcome to the Elementary and High School Library Media Centers.  I am Mrs. Stuckey, the Library Media Specialist, and I am at the Elementary Library.  Mrs. Veal, the Library Aide, is at the High School Library.  Prior to this, I was a Library Media Specilist for 13 years at the Guymon Middle School.  I am also certified as a school counselor.  My Masters Degree in Education is in English/Speech and Political Science/Psychology.

Our libraries have an inventory of 12,300 fiction and non-fiction books.  Books are checked out any time during the day for a two week period before requiring renewal.  We do not charge fines.  We also do co-operative units over science, social studies and English with the grade school teachers.  We do STEM projects during the year

This year we are starting a new audio-reading program in ElementaryLibrary Google Classroom where I will read a new  book on each grade level once a week.

My guiding goal is to develop a love for reading in our young people.

If the COVID 19 virus permits, we will start our 4-6th grade Art Club in the Elementary Library after school the first and third Mondays starting after Christmas Break.

We are looking forward to great year.

I have  lived  in Arnett for over 50 years.  I am a widow, and I have four children and  nine grandchildren.  My hobbies are oil painting, gardening, reading and writing. My favorite things to do are visinting with my son’s family in Maine and Massachusetts during the summer and going to my grandkids ball games.
